FAQ: Orange Star

Orange Star is blah blah blah...
Orange Star Classes:
The basic combat soldier of Orange Star are the Riflemen. Armed with a variety of powerful weapons they are well equipped for infantry combat at any range, and are effective at both defensive and offensive roles. They are armed with the Trowbridge Co. I-18B PIAW, with a Madison Arms IS-9 "Enforcer" sidearm, and are also issued E-12C MPAIG grenades, an entrenching tool and a first-aid kit. Capable of holding their own against nearly anything, these multipurpose soldiers work best in groups and can quickly create cover for themselves to aid defensive positions.
The Orange Star are a very defensive army. They prefer to entrench their positions and let the enemy come to them, using superior air cover to neutralize enemy air and artillery systems and forcing the enemy to fight on their terms. As a result of the defensive focus of their military, it was deemed necessesary during the Second Great War to add assault specialists to infantry forces, armed with weapons better suited to close range, mobile combat. The Tactical Infantry are armed with the powerful I-19B AIAC Carbine, an effective short ranged submachine gun, as well as a standard issue Enforcer pistol. They also carry with them E-12C grenades and E/S-4 TSSIM smoke grenades. They are required to be light on their feet and so carry little unnecessary equipment into battle.
These demolition specialists play a vital role on the field, carrying with them the most potent infantry weapons deployed by the Orange Star army. Requiring cool nerves and ice water blood, these soldiers are tasked with preparing lethal explosives, often while under fire. Armed with the lightweight R-9C Carbine and an Enforcer pistol, their specialty lays in the variety of explosives they carry. E-14 Explosive Charges provide a powerful weapon against stationary targets such as bunkers and buildings. The EX-23 Remote Grenade is a solid orb of plastic explosive with a remote detonator that can, in the right hands, be lethal even against tanks. Not satisfied with conventional explosives, Sappers also create their own "Pipe Charges", lethal combinations of various (often unstable) explosives in a plastic tube.
The Grenadier are the best the Orange Star military has to offer, elite troops that have proven themselves in all situations. Armed with the traditional R-8F Long Rifle with saber bayonet, they are true to their name, also carrying the L-4 grenade launcher, effective against infantry and light vehicles. They back up this arsenal with the famed Liberty Valence 11 mm Revolver. They are best employed in a support role, using grenades and accurate rifle fire to assist the regular troops.
Carrrying into battle the MSW-39A, a powerful machine gun on a tripod base, the MG Operator is the ultimate defensive soldier. After digging into a position with the entrenching tool, they deploy their weapon and use it to lethal effect on enemy troops. Using an Enforcer pistol for self defense while on the move, they can also illuminate areas with a flare gun to mark his targets easier to spot, and overload the Black Hole night vision goggles.
Tanks are always a problem to the infantry. Their armour is immune to most weapons used by conventional infantry. Thankfully the Recoiless Rifleman has just to solution to tank related problems. The RR-6 Recoiless Rifle will go through the front armour of a light tank at 50 meters, giving the infantry a chance against armoured targets. Unfortunately, the heavy weapon makes it hard to carry any other equipment except for an Enforcer sidearm and knife.
Scouts operate far ahead of the lines, using a variety of clever ambush weapons to make life hard for the enemy. The most basic of these is their weapon, the R-1 rifle with scope. Though not in the same league as the RX Sniper Rifle, the R-1 allows the Scout to keep enemies at arms length. A silenced Enforcer pistol allows the Scout to stealthily remove obstacles, while their White Noise emmiter, EC-4 Anti-Electronics Grenades and Laser Target Designator makes them a force multiplier to be respected.
The Sniper of Orange Star is armed with arguably the most powerful rifle ever created, the RX "Incredible" Sniper Rifle. Snipers stay far behind the lines, picking off targets from as great a distance as possible. This is because, aside from a Liberty Valence 11mm Revolver, the sniper has no means to fight at close range. A camo blind allows the sniper to hide in plain sight while choosing a target.
The Engineer performs a vital function in the Orange Star army; keep the vehicles running. They must perform all sorts of tasks under fire; dig defensive positions, repair vehicles, deliver ammunition, break down bunker doors, the jobs are varied and interesting. Armed with the traditional Trowbridge Repeater and an Enforcer pistol, the Engineer's true role is represented with the toolbox and blowtorch (For repairing and destroying vehicles, respectively) as well as an entrenching tool and high torsion wire for creating defensive fences.
The angel of the battlefield, the Field Medic is there when a soldier goes down with a jolt of morphine, some band-aids, and a second chance. Consisting of pacifists and former civilian doctors, they are almost completely unarmed, but they still perform a very vital task on the battlefield. Their buddies will protect them to the death - they are treated like royalty by the fighting soldiers because every knows that they will be they will be there when they are needed most. A non-lethal ShoC brand Stun Gun is used for personal defense.
