Black Hole Classes:
The Macabric is the basic infantryman of the Black Hole army. Horrendously genetically modified clones designed for combat, they often simply attack in massive waves, simply charging headlong at Orange Star positions with no regard for self preservation. However, they do have extensive tactical knowledge genetically imprinted into them, making squad tactics and military training instinctual. They are armed with the simple Storm Battle Rifle, backing it up with the Vampire pistol, Howler Liquid Grenades and a regenitive stim pack.
Meaning 'lover of darkness', the Lygophiliac is intended to offer extremely close ranged attacking power combined with heavier armour and greater stamina. Much more aggressive than than most of the Black Hole soldiers, they make up for their lack of tactical thinking with crazed determination and toughness. Armed with the powerful, if uncontrollable Angelrender Carbine, they supplement this with synthesized chemicals which allow them to push their muscles beyond reasonable levels so as to continue running.
Asmodaist : Named for a leader of daemons, the Asmodaists carry nearly invulnerable shields to protect themselves for enemy fire. They lack offensive power but make excellent defensive troops that can hold a position against nearly any attack, with nothing less than an RX Sniper being needed to punch through their shield. Carrying a Vampire pistol along with their shield, they also have heavy armour plating and gravity grenades, which can overturn tanks in it's vortex of gravitic energy.
The accelerated growth process used to create Black Hole soldiers is open to a lot of errors. Most of the truly unfortunate 'problems' are recycled, but some, with 'minor' errors like blindness or missing organs, are quickly fixed with bonics, hopped up on combat drugs and sent into battle with the barest minimum of weapons and resources. These "Forlorn" as they are called, are the result; the perfect assault soldier. Crazed beyond pain and elevated to supernatural toughness and speed, they replace tactics with crazed determination, throwing themselves into enemy fire screaming madly. They only stop moving when they are dead and it can take terrible wounds before that occurs. However, the combination of unstable physical conditions and a drug fuel constitution takes a terrible toll on their bodies, wracking them with constant pain and slowly killing them. Armed with a massive shotgun weighing nearly as much as they do, they fight both to satisfy their need to kill and to end their suffering as quickly as possible.
Nephilim are the Black Hole anti-tank soldier. Armed with the Requiem Rocket Gun, they are effective both against tanks and pockets of infantry, their weapon being usable both as a rocket and a crude mortar. They use a Vampire pistol for self defense and carry larger versions of the Howler liquid grenades for use against stationary targets.
Akhilleus is the name given to the Black Hole soldiers armed with the Gandiva Sniper Cannon, the powerful scoped weapon used by the Black Hole. Logically assuming that a target important enough to snipe is important enough to capture, the Gandiva is actually non-lethal, but in a horrible manner. The shells from the Gandiva explode into a powerful resonance shockwave whose frequency causes targets to simply drop to the ground in a coma. Rapid medical attention can reverse the effects, but if a medic is not on scene the effects become irreversible to all but the Black Hole. Reinforcing their soldier's horrible nature is a Shadowrunner Stealth Field, rendering the soldier nearly invisible.
Minosians are the Black Hole medics, if one could call them that. They go into battle with the strange "Rotary Rifle", the Astaroth, and a variety of drugs for healing wounded, but their primary role is to remove the chest bonics from fallen soldiers, to recover their combat data and to implant in new soldiers. This freakish process is frequently misinterpreted by Orange Star soldiers, who consider "the freaks with the drills" priority targets.
The Galebringer is the Black Hole support weapons carrier. Because of the enhanced strength of the Black Hole clones, they can carry and fire this oversized weapon without deploying it. However, this is the total extent of the soldier's armoury, and with limited ammunition compared to the Monev Gattling Gun's rate of fire this can prove a problem.
The Hashashiyyin is used as a testing bed for new weapon technology. Flak was assigned the testing of the handheld "Death Ray", the Eris Ray Rifle, and the powered jumpjet armour system. Heavily armoured and armed, their weapons, movement and jets all drain from the same power source, and once it runs out the soldier can be crushed by the heavy armour losing stability. In addition, the exposed battery pack can be shot and destroyed easily if struck from behind.
The Vetalas are armed with the Kobal Vortex Driver, a gravity based weapon sharing technology with the gravity grenade. Capable of pushing explosives or overturning tanks as well as throwing infantry around with easy, this short ranged class uses an activatible energy shield to cover their approach. However the shield translates damage into kinetic force, pushing the soldier backwards as bullets strike the shield.
